2008 District 5 Boards and Commissions Reception

Boards and Commissions were established to help the Alameda County Board of Supervisors address the myriad of duties and responsibilities of local county government. These Boards and Commissions are created by State or Federal law, County ordinance or by an action of the Board of Supervisors to provide forums for citizen input and increase accessibility to County government.

Supervisor Carson holds a reception for board members and commissioners annually.  The event is meant to express appreciation to the citizen participants who volunteer their time to serve on various Alameda County Commissions and Boards and at the same time provide a forum where each commissioner and board member presents an update on what their board or commission has accomplished in the past year.
